Adopt-A-Teen

The Adopt-A-Teen program was created to give organizations and potential donors the opportunity to directly affect the medical and/or mental health care of an individual teen in need.  Depending on the amount that is pledged, an individual will know exactly how their gift will impact a local adolescent who has no health insurance and does not qualify for Medicaid.

We are asking for your help in supporting a local uninsured teen’s medical and/or mental health.  Your participation does help prove that every person’s dollar does make a difference.

Did you know?

  • Approximately 16,878 of our youth in Wake County have no health insurance.
  • One out of five teens has a diagnosable mental illness.
  • 30% of adolescents (ages 12 to 19) are overweight.

How you can help...

$1,000

This gift covers the cost of a psychiatric evaluation, four medicine management visits and five mental health visits for one uninsured local youth.

$500

This gift covers the cost for an entire year of medical visits for one local uninsured youth. (Includes physical, necessary immunizations and two sick visits)

$330

This gift covers three mental health visits for a local uninsured youth.

$120

This gift covers the cost of two sick visits for a local uninsured youth.

$60

This gift covers either one reproductive health visit or one visit for acute illness.

Your tax deductible donation will help a local needy teen

Lack of mental and medical care impacts a young person’s ability to function. With everything those at this awkward age must deal with, why does their health and mental health have to be one of them?

Please choose to make a difference today for someone who will remember your gift for the rest of their lives.  For more information on how you can participate in the “Adopt-A-Teen” program, please contact our Director of Development at 919-828-0035 or complete the contact form below.
