At Wake Teen:
We understand how difficult it can be to parent a teen in today's world. We offer a unique teen centered perspective and can help you navigate the perils of parenting! If your child is a medical patient at Wake Teen, our physicians, nurses, nutritionist, and health educator are available to answer your questions.
If your teen is receiving counseling at Wake Teen, our counselors and psychiatrist are available to help you with your concerns.
If your teen requests confidential treatment, we offer confidentiality in the following circumstances: pregnancy prevention, testing and treatment of sexually transmitted disease, mental health concerns, and problems with alcohol or drugs. We strongly encourage parental involvement in treatment. However, we recognize that some teens would not seek needed help unless they are assured of confidential treatment.
For more information, please view our Confidentiality Policy.
Our health educator is available for presentations on parenting issues, adolescent development issues, and many other topics. We can provide presentations to your religious group, your PTA, or civic group. For more information, please call us at (919) 828-0035.
